Generally speaking, hunters have gotten away from the camaraderie of the hunt. We have gotten away from the joy that comes from hunting a wild animal and having the opportunity to use that animal in a way that is honorable and respectful.
My late great uncle once told me when I was in high school to always put “God first, family second, and everything else after that.” Hunting falls in that last category… so, I’ll see the tree stand next weekend.
We are to rise above temptations and rise above the things of this world. If you think about what it means to rise above something, you are looking down on it. You have a position of power over the enemy when you rise above them. You have the advantage over the thing that you are rising against.
What a fall season we had here at RKE Afield! Our online store has launched and we have been fortunate enough to do some vendor events to help spread the word and get our name out. Also, I was able to harvest his biggest buck to date this year. It has truly been a great year.
